How to Choose a Solvent Recycler Bag
Match the tank, not just the gallons. A bag needs enough width to line the tank wall and enough height to fold over the rim. Undersized bags pull down into the tank during the cycle; oversized bags bunch and trap solvent. If you’re not sure which bag fits your machine, tell us the make and model — we’ll match it.
Check the temperature rating. Distillation runs hot — bags must be rated for continuous exposure at your recycler’s operating temperature. All bags we stock are engineered for solvent distillation service; ordinary poly liners will melt into your tank.
Buy the case. A shop cycling its recycler daily goes through 20–30 bags a month. Case pricing takes 30–50% off the per-bag cost versus small packs.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I replace the bag? Every distillation cycle. The bag is what carries the sludge out — reusing one defeats the purpose and risks bag failure mid-cycle.
Can I run my recycler without a bag? Most machines will run, but you’ll spend far longer scraping residue, you’ll shorten heating element life, and disposal gets messier. The bag is the cheapest maintenance item on the machine.
Do you supply bags for other recycler brands? Yes — beyond IST/ISTpure/Kresco and Uni-ram, we can supply liner bags for most solvent recyclers if you give us the tank dimensions or make/model. Ask us.
