Solvent Recycler Condensers

The condenser is where you actually get your solvent back. As vapor boils off in the recycler, the condenser cools it back into clean liquid solvent for collection. If the condenser isn’t cooling efficiently, that vapor doesn’t fully condense — and it’s lost.

A weak, fouled, or corroded condenser quietly costs you solvent. When it can’t pull enough heat out of the vapor, recovery drops, solvent escapes as vapor instead of collecting, and you buy and dispose of more than you should. Keeping the condenser clean and efficient is one of the simplest ways to protect your recovery rate.

Signs of a condenser problem

  • Solvent recovery has dropped for no obvious reason.
  • You smell or see solvent vapor escaping instead of condensing.
  • Condensed solvent is coming out warm.
  • Visible scaling, fouling, or corrosion on the coil or condenser body.

Clean, replace, or upgrade

Keep the condenser and its cooling circuit clean so it transfers heat efficiently. Replace it when it’s scaled, corroded, or no longer condensing fully. And if you’re running aggressive or high-temperature solvents, consider a stainless-steel condenser upgrade kit — stainless resists corrosion, lasts far longer, and holds up to tougher solvent streams than standard materials, protecting your recovery for years.

Fits your recycler

We carry replacement condensers and upgrade kits for the Kresco / ISTpure SR-series (SR30 through SR240) and most common batch solvent recyclers. Not sure what your unit needs? Send us your model and we’ll match it. Round out your wear kit with recycling bags, thermic oil, and lid seals.

If recovery stays low even after servicing the condenser, seal, and oil, it may be time to upgrade your recycler.

FAQ

What does the condenser do in a solvent recycler?
It cools the solvent vapor coming off the boiler and turns it back into clean, reusable liquid solvent. Efficient condensing is what determines how much solvent you actually recover.
Why is my solvent recovery low or my recycler losing vapor?
Often a fouled, scaled, corroded, or undersized condenser that can’t cool the vapor enough. Uncondensed vapor escapes instead of collecting. Clean or replace the condenser to restore recovery.
Should I upgrade to a stainless-steel condenser?
If you run aggressive or high-temperature solvents, yes — stainless resists corrosion, lasts longer, and holds up to tougher streams, protecting your recovery rate over the long run.
Do your condensers fit ISTpure / Kresco recyclers?
Yes — we stock condensers and upgrade kits for the Kresco/ISTpure SR-series and most batch solvent recyclers. Send us your model and we’ll confirm the right one.

An efficient condenser protects the recovery rate of your solvent recycler.
