Parts Cleaning for Automotive Shops & Remanufacturers
Automotive cleaning splits into three very different jobs, and the equipment that’s right for one is wrong for the others.
Engine & driveline remanufacturing
Blocks, heads and cases carry baked-on carbon and oil that a spray cabinet alone won’t touch. Immersion-agitation washers flush oil galleries and water jackets; rotary drum washers handle high volumes of small hard parts — valves, lifters, fasteners — at 3 to 25 cu ft per hour.
General service & maintenance
For brake work, suspension and everyday teardown, a solvent parts washer or a heated aqueous sink is the workhorse. If you’re paying a service company per drum, running your own solvent recycler usually pays for itself faster than shop owners expect — you’re buying the same mineral spirits back over and over.
Body & paint
Spray gun washers in solvent, waterborne and hybrid configurations keep guns clean between color changes without a bucket of dirty thinner on the bench.
Wheels, rims and surface prep
Stripping powder coat and corrosion off wheels by hand is an hour a wheel. An automated wheel and rim blaster does it in a repeatable cycle with consistent profile for the new finish.
