Description
White aluminum oxide is the high-purity version of the angular aluminum oxide family, fused from high-purity alumina powder: 99.4% Al2O3, harder than brown with lower toughness, so it self-sharpens as the grains rub and shatters progressively on impact for a consistently fresh cutting edge. Use it where iron contamination is unacceptable, where a brighter, more uniform finish is wanted, or for tumble finishing, buffing prep and medical, aerospace and stainless work. Supplied by Solvent Recycling Systems in 55 lb bags and 400 lb drums, grades 16 through 400.

Advantages
- High purity (≥ 99.2–99.4% Al2O3), no iron so no rust staining
- Low dusting, less than 1% free silica
- High friability: breaks down to keep sharp edges working
- Acid, alkali and corrosion resistant; refractoriness ≥ 1850°C
Applications
Surface preparation, blast cleaning, deburring, grinding, tumble finishing, buffing prep, non-skid coatings, and lapping and polishing powders in the fine grades. Common in cabinets finishing aluminum, titanium, stainless and medical or firearms components.
