Description

CleanTech CF-4020 Laser Blaster Cabinet

The CleanTech CF-4020 is a laser cleaning cabinet that works like a blast cabinet without the blast media. The operator cleans parts by hand through the enclosure with a pulsed fiber laser, while the cabinet contains the beam and the fumes. Because the system is a CDRH Class I laser product, it doesn’t need a dedicated laser room or Class 4 eyewear program the way an open handheld laser does.

For shops already running a sandblast cabinet, it removes rust, paint, oxide, mill scale and grease with no media to buy, reclaim or dispose of, no masking and no dust in the shop.

Applications

Rust and corrosion removal, coating and paint removal, oxide and anodize removal, pre-weld and post-weld cleaning, pre-adhesion and surface preparation, degreasing, decontamination, surface texturing and injection mold cleaning.

Materials: steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless, copper, brass, titanium, nickel, chrome, carbide, galvanized metal, CFRP and composites, plastics, silicone, ceramics, concrete and marble.

Laser cabinet vs. sandblast cabinet

A sandblast cabinet is still the faster, lower-cost choice for large volumes and for building an anchor profile before coating. The laser cabinet earns its place on precision parts, molds, tooling, weld prep and anything that can’t tolerate media, residue or masking time. Many shops run both.

After cleaning: stop flash rust

Laser cleaning leaves bare, active metal that can flash rust within hours. Protect parts with a Cortec liquid rust preventative or VCI bags until they’re painted, coated or assembled. New to laser cleaning? Start with our laser cleaning machine buying guide.
