Description

Kresco powder coating booths give a powder line a bright, clean, code-compliant spray environment in custom sizes. Two families: Powder Recovery Booths, where an integrated Powder Collection Module with self-cleaning cartridge filters captures overspray for reuse, and Powder Non-Recovery Booths, a lower-cost open-front design with primary and redundant filtration for small-batch work. Both are built from 18-gauge galvanized steel with a smooth interior that’s easy to wipe down at color change, lit with LED fixtures, and designed to comply with federal, NFPA and OSHA requirements.

Kresco also builds the rest of the cell — direct-fire and convection curing ovens (walk-in, truck-in, conveyor), and overhead conveyors — so a complete powder line can come from one supplier with one set of drawings. Request a quote or call (847) 833-7010.

Powder Recovery Booths

For small-to-medium batch powder applications where you want to reclaim overspray. The Powder Collection Module uses high-efficiency MERV 12 cartridge filters backed by MERV 13 redundant (final) filters, with load-triggered pulsing that cleans the cartridges automatically and extends their life. Collected powder drops to a fluidized hopper or collection drawers for reuse.

  • 18-gauge galvanized steel panels, smooth interior
  • Powder Collection Module(s) with MERV 12 cartridges and MERV 13 redundant filters
  • High-performance direct-drive plug fan with TEFC motor
  • Rear or top exhaust orientation
  • LED light fixtures

Powder Non-Recovery Booths

For small-batch and multi-color work where recovery isn’t worth the color-change downtime. Primary filter bank with grids and manometer, MERV 14 redundant filters, open front for easy part transport in and out, small footprint.

  • 18-gauge galvanized panels, smooth interior
  • Primary filtration with full filter set, grids and manometer
  • MERV 14 redundant filters
  • Direct-drive plug fan, TEFC motor; LED lighting

Powder Collection Modules

The collection module is also sold separately to upgrade an existing booth. Cartridges are staggered in two rows to keep the module narrow; it fits flat against a wall and ships pre-assembled and factory tested.

  • Open access under the primary filters; automatic, continuous self-cleaning
  • Two-stage MERV 14 filtration; filter monitoring gauges
  • High-efficiency fans for quiet operation; powder-coated upper plenums
  • Standard widths 6, 9 and 12 ft; galvanized or stainless working enclosures
  • Options: fluidized collection hopper or ramp, collection drawers, cartridge baffle, floor deflector plate, Class I Div II light fixtures, VFD, custom enclosures, HEPA final filters, pre-coated white panels, electromechanical control panel

Curing Ovens and Conveyors

Kresco industrial ovens cover batch walk-in and truck-in ovens (chamber capacities from 52 to 952 cu ft) and continuous conveyor ovens, for curing, drying, baking, aging and heat-treating, with tight temperature uniformity. Overhead monorail conveyors tie booth and oven into a continuous cell. Tell us parts, cycle time and cure schedule and we’ll lay out the line.

Before the Powder Goes On

Powder adhesion lives or dies on pretreatment. Most of our powder customers blast first — a blast room or blast cabinet for profile, then a Magido aqueous washer or Build-All parts washer to degrease — and protect bare steel between stages with Cortec VpCI so flash rust never reaches the oven.
