VCI papers (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor papers) are specialty corrosion protection sheets that release microscopic VCI vapors when enclosed with metal parts, forming an invisible molecular layer that inhibits rust and oxidation without oils, greases, or coatings. These papers are ideal for wrapping, lining, and separating metal components during storage, work-in-process handling, or export shipping, and they work especially well in packaging systems where surface contact protection is needed without mess or residue.
VCI papers are commonly used together with VCI bags and films or as an internal layer inside cartons and containers to enhance corrosion protection coverage. They are highly effective following part cleaning with aqueous parts washers or solvent parts washers, protecting cleaned surfaces from flash rust and oxidation.
