20′ × 100′ × 10 Mil MilCorr® VpCI® Shrink Film – Heavy-Duty Outdoor Corrosion Protection

$1,415.50

MilCorr® VpCI® Shrink Film is Cortec’s heavy-duty 10–12 mil VCI shrink film, built for equipment that has to sit outside and come out serviceable. This listing is the 20′ × 100′ roll (Cortec item #21302963).

  • Multimetal vapor phase corrosion inhibitors protect ferrous and most non-ferrous metals by contact, barrier and vapor phase — reaching void spaces and recessed areas a spray cannot.
  • High ultraviolet protection preserves film integrity through extended outdoor exposure.
  • Heat-shrinks to a tight custom fit, so complex shapes shed water instead of holding it.
  • Transparent for visual inspection; flexible and strong enough to wrap oddly shaped parts.
  • Unaffected by most solvents, strong acids and alkalies.
  • Lightweight and recyclable. Protected parts can be used immediately — no degreasing or cleaning step.

Protects steel, iron, brass, copper, solder, aluminum, silver and nickel.

Conformances: MIL-PRF-22019 D and MIL-B-22020 D · NFPA 701-1999 Test #1: Pass · TL-8135-002 (VIA): Pass.

Printed for identification

As of August 2026, Cortec prints product identification directly onto this film during production. VpCI®-126 Shrink and VpCI®-126 HP UV are printed with Cortec’s standard VpCI®-126 plates; MilCorr® carries its own MilCorr® print plate. The print lets you confirm at receiving — and on the wrapped unit months later — that you are looking at genuine Cortec® film and the correct grade. Formulation, specifications and part numbers are unchanged.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Measure unit and determine amount of film needed, allowing at least 12” overlap at all seams.
2. Lay out film in desired preparation area, making sure it is clean and dry.
3. Place vehicle or equipment on film.
4. Pad off any sharp edges and corners.
5. Wrap or shroud equipment with film.
6. Use shrink tape to attach loose ends onto film/equipment.
7. Carefully apply heat and shrink film to desired fit.
Typical shrink temperature range: 340°-440°F (171°-227°C)
Typical sealing temperature: 240°-320°F (116°-160°C)

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
• Military vehicles and equipment preservation
• Mothball preservation of industrial equipment
• Export packaging of expensive larger equipment
• Heavy equipment covers
• Recreational vehicle (boats, snowmobiles, etc.) preservation
• Pallet shrouds

TESTING
UV Weathering Testing
• ASTM G 53-93 UV Weathering Test*
*Note. Test is in process. No corrosion or degradation of the film was observed after 3+ years of exposure.

Corrosion Testing
• Cortec VIA Test: Pass
• Cortec Razor Blade Test: Pass
• Cortec SO2 Corrosion Test: Pass
• Cortec F-12 Cycling Corrosion Test: Pass

PACKAGING AND STORAGE
MilCorr VpCI Shrink Film is available in 20′ x 100′ x 0.010” (this listing, #21302963) and 20′ x 210′ x 0.010” (6.1 x 64.1m x 250 microns, #21302962). Now available in widths up to 30′ (9.2m) on request. Film should be stored indoors at ambient conditions, sealed in original packaging. Under these conditions, shelf life is up to 24 months.

Not sure which grade you need? Read the VCI shrink film buyer’s guide — it compares VpCI®-126, HP UV and MilCorr® by sun exposure and storage duration.

Clean it, then protect it: Corrosion protection works best on a properly cleaned part. Start with an aqueous parts washer and the right degreaser, then read Clean It, Then Protect It.
