Shrink film that combines high strength resins with ultraviolet (UV) light stabilizers and Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor Technology. This state-of-the-art film construction provides multi-metal protection for parts, equipment, and vehicles even in aggressive outdoor conditions. Unlike some preservation films that rely on white pigments to reflect UV light, VpCI®-126 HP UV Shrink Film contains unique inhibitors that protect the polymer from UV exposure and prevent degradation. - Cortec VpCI-126 HP UV Shrink Film is made using high-density polyethylene and extruded with Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI) to protect both ferrous and most non-ferrous metals from corrosion.
- The film is easy to use: simply wrap the item to be protected with the VpCI film. The VpCI in the film volatizes, migrates with air, and then condenses on all metal surfaces, reaching all exposed areas.
- The film provides a high level of corrosion inhibitor protection along with excellent moisture barrier properties of high-density polyethylene film. It is unaffected by most solvents, strong acids, and alkalies.
- The film is transparent, allowing for visual inspection of the items within. It’s flexible and strong, making it easy to wrap items, including oddly shaped parts.
- The film is lightweight and recyclable. Protected parts can be used immediately without the need for degreasing or cleaning.
