Wet Blast Cabinet (Vapor Blasting) for Dust-Free Finishing

Description

The Kresco Wet Blast Cabinet — also called a vapor blast cabinet, vapor honing cabinet or slurry blast cabinet — mixes fine abrasive with water and delivers the slurry through the blast gun. The water cushions the impact, so instead of the matte, peened texture of dry blasting you get a smooth, bright, satin finish with no embedded media, and the dust that dry cabinets have to collect simply never leaves the water. It is the cabinet to choose when the finish is the product: aluminum castings and cylinder heads, stainless and titanium, medical and aerospace components, molds and dies, and restoration work.

Why Wet Blast Instead of Dry?

• Smooth, consistent finish — the water lubricates the abrasive, closing the surface rather than roughening it, and leaves no media embedded in soft metals

Wet Blast or Dry Blast Cabinet?

If the job is stripping heavy coatings, descaling steel, or creating an anchor profile for paint, a dry cabinet such as the ECAB or PowerBlast is faster.
