VpCI Protected Labels, “Cortec VpCI Protected” (Cortec®)

$140.00

Adhesive labels marked “Cortec VpCI® Protected” — flag VCI-packed parts and crates so the protection isn’t broken in handling.

SKU: CORTEC-11402461 Categories: ,

Description

VpCI® Protected labels are adhesive labels printed “Cortec VpCI® Protected”, for marking VCI-packed parts, cartons, crates and preserved equipment so the protection is not broken in handling. A VpCI package works only while it stays closed; an unmarked bag or liner looks like ordinary poly to a receiving clerk, a customs inspector or a forklift driver, and it gets slit open. The label tells everyone downstream what is inside and that it should stay sealed until the part is needed.

The label is an accessory to Cortec’s packaging line rather than a VCI product, so it carries no metals list or consultation-guide rating; it belongs on every VpCI-126 bag, EcoWeave cover, MilCorr-wrapped machine and VpCI-146-lined carton that leaves your dock. Inside the plant, labelled WIP and spare parts are the ones that do not get unwrapped “just to check”, and the label is where to write the pack date so the package is renewed within its protection period. Supplied on a roll, about 1,000 labels.

Typical applications

  • VCI-packed cartons and crates leaving the plant
  • Export shipments and ocean containers
  • Preserved and mothballed equipment identification
  • Spare parts and MRO stock on the shelf
  • WIP in VpCI-126 bags or EcoWeave totes between operations
  • Recording pack date and inspection dates on the package

How to use VpCI Protected labels

  1. Close the package first. Seal the bag, tape the liner or shrink the film, then label the outside.
  2. Place where it will be seen. Apply to a clean, dry area at eye level, on at least two faces of a crate or pallet. Press firmly.
  3. Write the date. Mark the pack date beside the label so the package is inspected or renewed within its protection period.
  4. Do not label bare metal. Labels go on packaging, not on the part; VpCI cannot protect metal under an adhesive.
  5. Store. Keep rolls in their original packaging, indoors at ambient temperature.

Where it fits in the Cortec line

Use the labels with VpCI Protected tape, which seals the carton and carries the same message along every seam; the two together mark a package unmistakably. They belong on VpCI-126 bags, gusseted liners, EcoWeave bags, VpCI-146-lined cartons and MilCorr-wrapped equipment. See the VpCI product selection guide for the rest of the packaging line.
