An FAA Part 145 repair station has a cleaning problem most shops don’t: every process has to be repeatable, documented, and gentle enough not to damage the part it just cleaned. Aggressive solvent, uncontrolled temperature, or the wrong detergent chemistry on a magnesium or aluminum component turns a serviceable part into scrap.

Wheel & brake shops

The Magido L-212 is built for this work — a 59″ x 59″ turntable with independent wash and rinse systems and optional pass-through guillotine doors, so wheel halves enter dirty on one side and leave clean and rinsed on the other. Dual-stage rinsing matters here: a spot-free part is a part you can inspect and NDT without a second cleaning step.

Landing gear & component shops

Larger assemblies and heavy grease call for front load cabinets or immersion-agitation washers that flush blind holes and internal passages rather than just spraying the outside.

Corrosion control between operations

Clean bare metal starts corroding immediately. Cortec VpCI emitters, film and paper protect parts in WIP, in stores, and in transit — without an oil coating you have to clean off before the next operation.

Cutting solvent cost and waste manifests

Shops still running solvent can reclaim most of it with a batch solvent recycler, which cuts both purchase volume and hazardous waste disposal — and shortens the paperwork trail.
