VCI Emitters — Vapor Corrosion Protection for Metal Parts
VCI emitters provide targeted, dry corrosion protection for metal parts stored or shipped in enclosed spaces where traditional packaging methods may not be practical. Using vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) technology, these emitters release protective vapors that circulate within sealed containers, cabinets, crates, and packaging to form a microscopic corrosion-inhibiting layer on metal surfaces—preventing rust and oxidation without oils, greases, or coatings.
VCI emitters are commonly used as a standalone corrosion protection solution or in combination with VCI bags and films to create a complete protection system for industrial storage, export shipping, and long-term warehousing. They are especially effective for protecting parts after cleaning with aqueous parts washers or solvent parts washers, when freshly cleaned metal surfaces are most susceptible to corrosion.
